Taxing

America’s leaders must enact a simpler form of taxation:

If income tax is to be the basis for government revenue, then there can be no logical argument against a FLAT RATE TAX.

Far better, though, is the concept of a National Sales Tax.  In this scenario, there would be NO OTHER form of Federal taxation – no income tax, no estate tax, no capital gains tax, no excise tax.  This would be a nominal Federal sales tax on all goods and services except food, medical care, and education.

Such a system would encourage savings by taxing only on money spent.  It would also tax:

  • criminals,
  • the super-rich,
  • the criminal super-rich,
  • lobbyists,
  • politicians,
  • pirates,
  • paupers,
  • poets,
  • aliens – legal, illegal and space,
  • tourists,
  • and tax attorneys

all on an equal footing with wealthy, middle-class and poor Americans everywhere.
